| There is one clear question that can only be answered by the most expert of all experts. That question is, "Do I like this wine?" And the expert of that is you. Once you have established liking one wine or another, then and really only then can we move on to explore other wines with a higher degree of success than lottery chances. Other factors do change the game here and there, but the end result is always boiled down to liking or not liking. This is the major reason we don't use point ratings from publications and wine critics to guide our buying or selling of wine. The people who write these critiques don't know us personally and they don't invite us to dinner so why do we care what they think we should drink? I like to think wine is more like art than business and science, but it can and should start with the old K.I.S.S. rule of (Keep It Simple....) and work into the nuances later. Let us know what you like and we will find you more wines that could extend your range of thinks you like or maybe a new favorite that you try to stay with until it changes or you change.
For a deal! WHISPER "I thought I would phone this order in" before we ring your order up for and we will give you 10% off of one bottle of wine that is a new wine to you. How will we determine that, well, if you do have your purchase history in our system (we only do this with your permission and it's not hooked to anything to solicit you and sell the information) , we will see if you have purchased it before. If not, well to get the deal we will get you to start tracking your purchases with us. It is so either Nick or myself can help you find that wine you liked again even if we didn't help you find it, or to move you closer to the new favorite when you tell us that you didn't like the last one s much as we hoped. It happens. With time and a little attention, it happens less often.

| Notice that we've added a "Wine Archive" page in the wine section. It was done to help me remember what I've written so I might not repeat myself overly. However it might help you remember something about a wine so you can find it again. Remember when I couldn't remember? 'member? It also serves as a great place to hide some extra special whisper word deals so cruising through it from time to time might get you into some interesting savings on some of the wines hidden in the nooks and crannies of the store. But don't do it yet. We didn't hide a Whisper Word there and don't want to send you on a goose chase.
BTW, did you know we can keep track of your purchase history? We only do it if you are OK with it. We don't ask any information except your name and we keep it on the register computer. That computer doesn't get to frolic on the interweb, it's kept in the artificial light, away from anything that might corrupt it. Well, I guess we might influence it some, but I'm really saying. There is no data selling, mining, of potential for hacking into the little list of purchases you've made. In fact you could use a Verona Wine Cellar Alias if you like. Choose one for yourself! At the shop feel free to be whoever you like. We will like you pretty much no matter who that is.
Just two guys trying to keep your wine racks and glasses full, Rick n Nick
